1. Who we are
Apprise News is an internal newsroom tool operated by Bridges AI Consulting. The admin dashboard (admin.apprise.news) is used by Apprise editorial and operations staff to manage AP Media articles, generate AI video segments, and publish to social channels. It is not a public consumer product; access is restricted to authorized accounts.
2. What we collect
- Account information. When a staff member signs in with Google, we receive their name, email address, and Google account avatar via Google's OAuth flow.
- Usage events. We log actions taken inside the admin (article reviews, publication decisions, retry operations) for auditing.
- Third-party content. Apprise integrates with the Associated Press Media API, HeyGen, Postiz, and YouTube. We store metadata and media returned by these services strictly to operate the news pipeline.
3. How we use Google account data
Apprise uses Google OAuth in two ways:
- Sign-in. Staff sign in to admin.apprise.news with Google to verify identity. We request only the basic profile and email scopes.
- YouTube Live broadcasts. A single channel-owner Google account grants Apprise access to the YouTube Data API (scope
youtube.force-ssl) so we can create and manage the live broadcasts that play out the 24/7 channel. This access is used only to create live streams and broadcasts, bind them, and transition their lifecycle. Apprise does not read viewer comments, analytics, or any other user data through this scope.
Apprise's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Data retention
Account information persists for as long as the staff member retains access. Pipeline event logs are retained for operational debugging and rotated as part of normal database hygiene. Refresh tokens for YouTube access are stored on the application server as secrets and can be revoked at any time from the channel owner's Google account permissions page.
5. Who we share data with
Apprise does not sell or share personal information with advertisers. Data is processed inside our own infrastructure and the third-party APIs listed above strictly to deliver the news pipeline.
6. Security
Apprise enforces TLS for all transport, role-based access control for staff actions, and stores API credentials as environment secrets. Access to the underlying databases is restricted to authorized operators.
